A conversation

I needed to call USMA West Point Aaffes this morning to get a street address for Gene, he's going out east to visit 19 bases in 10 days.

I tried the PX, no answer, tried the Commissary, no answer.

So, I called the Point information line.

Young male voice: USMA West Point Information Line, How may I be of Service Sir or Ma'am?

Me: I was trying to reach the Exchange but no one is answering, is there a second number I could try?

YMV: No Ma'am.

Me: I need a street address on Point to plug into my GPS so I don't get lost--

YMV: Of course Ma'am.

Silence.

Me: Could you provide me with a street address, please?

YMV: Of course, Ma'am. -------------

Me: Thank you. Could you verify the Exchange number I have? ------------

YMV: That is accurate Ma'am.

Me: Hmmmm, I wonder why no one was there?

YMV: There's a football game, Ma'am.

Me: I thought that was tomorrow.

YMV: It is Ma'am.

Silence.

Me: Thank you for your help.

YMV: Your welcome, Ma'am.
